This page describes what this website collects, which is almost nothing. The short version: no cookies, no accounts, no forms, no tracking pixels, no advertising, and nothing is sold or shared. That's why there is no consent banner — there is nothing to consent to.
Who runs this site
This website is published by the Selvoq founding team in Stockholm and Innsbruck. It is meant for businesses and for people aged 18 or over; we don't knowingly collect anything about children. For anything privacy-related, write to [email protected] and a human will answer.
WirtsHub, our product
Everything above is about this website. WirtsHub, our hotel management software, is a different matter: it holds data about a hotel's guests — bookings, the guest register where law requires one, folios, and messages. There the hotel is the controller and Selvoq is its processor. The hotel decides what is collected and for how long; we hold it on that hotel's instructions under a data processing agreement, and that agreement — not this page — is where the detail belongs, including the list of services we use to run it. A guest asking what is held about them should ask the property.
Two facts are worth stating here rather than only in the agreement. The data is held in the European Union, in Frankfurt. And a property's messages reach guests over transports we do not own — email, SMS, WhatsApp — so an address or phone number and the message content pass to whichever provider carries it; for WhatsApp that is Meta Platforms Ireland. Stopping those messages, or having them deleted, is described separately.
WirtsHub is invitation-only: properties join as invited pilots and there is no public sign-up. For anything privacy-related either way, [email protected] reaches a person.
Analytics
We use Plausible Analytics, an EU-based service hosted in the EU. It uses no cookies and stores no persistent identifiers: we see aggregate numbers (which pages were read, roughly where visitors came from), never individual people. Visitor IP addresses are used transiently to compute those aggregates and aren't stored. The basis is our legitimate interest in knowing whether anyone reads this.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare Pages, a content delivery network. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes IP addresses in transient server logs to deliver pages and fend off abuse. We don't enrich, combine, or analyse those logs. Cloudflare is a US company, so that processing involves a transfer outside the EU; it rests on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
If you write to us, we keep the correspondence for as long as it takes to answer you properly, on the legal basis of legitimate interest. We won't add you to a mailing list — we don't have one.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and complain to your local supervisory authority. You are also not subject to any automated decision-making here: nothing on this site decides anything about you. Given what's described above, the honest answer to "what do you hold about me?" will almost always be: your emails to us, and nothing else. Write to [email protected].
Security
Found a vulnerability? See security.txt or write directly to [email protected].
If what we collect ever changes — say, a newsletter signup — this page changes first.
